"Job fair is one of the most effective programs in labor absorption," said Head of South Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department, Washington Siagian, Tuesday (11/4).

Central Jakarta Job Fair Invaded by Job Seekers

Siagian hoped the job seekers who live in Tebet, Setiabudi and Mampang can flock the Nyi Ageng Serang building to apply their application letter. "We open the job fair at 9 AM. There are 8,728 vacancies from 80 companies," he told.

The position is offered not only for college graduates, but also senior high school or vocational school graduate. "Please come, we provide many vacancies here. The vacancy is available for senior high school, D3, S1, S2 with age up to a maximum of 45 years," he said.

According to him, the job fair aims to pressure the number of unemployed in Jakarta, especially in South Jakarta in accordance with Jakarta Provincial Government's policy. The job seeker will be placed in various parts, starting from operator, administration, teller, cashier, auditor, sales manager, supervisor, consultant and manager.

"We will bring together the job seekers with companies who need a job," he explained."

The job fair also serves processing service for a yellow card (AK1). Until now, about 10 percent of 1.093,360 million people in South Jakarta are still unemployed, while about 90 thousand job seekers have processed yellow cards in 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta.
